Dustinland – O, R They?
By Dustin Glick - June 15, 2009 | Email the author

This week’s Dustinland is based on something I see all the time. At least once a week I see someone wearing scrubs on the subway. I don’t mean a little mask to protect them from swine flu. I mean they work in a hospital. And maybe it’s me, but it seems like wearing scrubs outside the hospital defeats the whole point. I’m sure there are good reasons for this sometimes, but I also have a feeling that some people are just lazy. In fact, a friend of mine works at a hospital and says it’s not uncommon to see people go out to lunch with their scrubs still on. The nurses have even ratted some people out over it. Anyway, if I get hatemail over this, at least it will be smart hatemail since it will be from doctors.
