Am I alone in thinking that Howard Dean tries too hard to tie the misleading “doesn’t understand the economy” and “100 years of war” into responding to ANYTHING John McCain says? It’s almost getting to the point of, “…well sure John McCain cured cancer and clothed the lepers, but he still doesn’t understand the economy [...]
I was never much of a fan of Mitt Romney. Actually, that’s not true. I liked what I had heard aboot Mitt Romney the businessman and Mitt Romney the Governor. I was curious to hear more aboot his healthcare plan that drew praise from both the R’s and the D’s. Who [...]
While the fair and balanced mainstream media focuses entirely on the Democrats (or more specifically, on why Obama is oh so dreamy and why Hillary Clinton should drop out before she hurts his feelings), Republican nominee John McCain is hitting to road with his launch “Service to America” tour, aka the bio tour. The plan [...]
Our district is a middle class Italian, Irish and Jewish-American community. Some places are wealthier than others. Howard Beach and Forest Hills Gardens are the envy of the community, but the more modest blue-collar liberals live in attached, semi-attached, or multifamily homes in Middle Village, Glendale, Maspeth, Woodhaven, and Ozone Park (where I’m from). We are good people; defending Clinton when he was being impeached, welcomed his wife with open arms when she came to ask to be our representive in Washington. We bore the brunt of the September 11th attacks, lost family, friends, neighbors by the handfuls. We are anti-war, pro-choice, homosexuality doesn’t bother us, Bush is a war criminal (even if he wasn’t four years ago), guns are the tools of the devil, and those crazy Christian nutzos down South are a threat to our nation.
If you missed it, it’s worth watching/reading, as it’s going to be talked about for a long time, whether you agree or not on issues such as:
- Was the speech too nuanced for media and reporters that seem to prefer soundbites?
- Did he go far enough in denouncing the angry/hateful comments made [...]
With caucus results added to those from last week’s Texas Primaries, CNN is reporting that Barack Obama has actually secured more pledged delegates from Texas than Hillary Clinton, 99 to 94.
I’ve mentioned things John McCain can do between now and the end of April with regards to the environment and health care. There is something else that is actually something his campaign already does well, and that’s web videos. He has one out right now called “Man in the Arena” that is scoring [...]
Fox News was first to call Mississippi for Barack Obama, with NBC News following less than 20 minutes after the polls closed, and CNN and AP following shortly thereafter.
A major issue on the minds of your average voter, and another one that the R’s always seem to concede to the D’s that they shouldn’t, is health care. Zogby did a recent poll on whom voters think is best on health care and the results were Hillary Clinton 36 %, Barack Obama 27%…John [...]
With the Republican presidential nominee decided and the Democratic contest dominating the news coverage, there’s been discussion/concern on how Sen. John McCain can keep his name out there and fresh in the minds of the voters. Personally, I think this would be a great time for McCain to work on his domestic policies [...]
