Okay, okay. I know that everyone thinks that anyone who complains about their job is a big whiny baby, especially if they get to sit around all day and play Snood. Many of those people have a valid point, but the jobs Dustin and I talk about were actually important, but since we aren’t firefighters, police officers or teachers, we have no business complaining about what sucks with our jobs. It’s not like I am shoveling horse crap or digging ditches or doing construction. I sit at a desk. I am bored, sure, but who isn’t?

A while back, Dustin switched jobs. He needed to pursue a “new challenge” and see “what he had to offer another organization.” Guess what? He’s now finding that his new gig is very much like his last one. The grass isn’t always greener, is it? Take a look at this short list and see how your professional life compares:

4) Incompetence by bosses and coworkers? Check.
5) Increasing boredom and endless monotony? Check.
6) Trouble focusing on meaningful task? Check.
