Mosquitoes, both male and female, subsist mostly on nectar. The females drink blood as a supplement to aid in reproduction.

How to Unstick a Stuck Zipper

When all else fails, one can use the graphite of a pencil to lubricate the zipper. One can also try rubbing a candle on the frozen slide fastener, but it lacks the precision of the pencil lead.

Useful information for the current cold snap:

Negative 40 degrees Celsius is also negative 40 degrees Fahrenheit. So when the windchill is -40, one needn’t specify units. (Unless of course, you have friends that use Kelvin.)
